The trustees and staff of the Foundation are saddened by the great suffering and uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The loss to all who make up the world of performing arts is particularly acute. Yet we remember that music and theater can draw us together and console us even in trying times. Weill himself lived through several dangerous and frightening periods of history. He never stopped working, and when the world resumed a more normal course, he was ready.
In Weill’s spirit, we present performances of two of his loveliest Broadway numbers. The titles speak for themselves: “Stay Well” (from Lost in the Stars), and “Here I’ll Stay” (from Love Life).
