PHILIP M. GETTER is the Managing Member of GEMPH Development LLC, an advisory firm; Chairman of the Board of TCI College of Technology; and President and CEO of KIDSRx International, a provider of children’s natural health care products. Upon graduation from Cornell University Mr. Getter served as Assistant to the Director of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. Mr. Getter has more than 35 years of investment banking experience, most recently as the head of Investment Banking and member of the Board of Prime Charter, Ltd. and formerly as a partner of Shearson, Hammill and Senior Partner of Devon Securities.
He was CEO and Chairman of the Board of Generics Corporation of America, one of the largest generic pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. and as President and CEO he led the reorganization of Wolins Pharmacal, a major distributor to the medical industry. Recently he was the Chairman of the Board of security companies InkSure Technologies and chairman of the audit committee of ICTS International N.V. Mr. Getter has been on the boards of public companies in film distribution, exhibition, production, and animation as well as in the music industry. He has served on a number of not for profits including St. Luke’s Orchestra and Lehman Center for the Arts. Mr. Getter is on the Obies Awards Administration Committee and Trustee of the American Theatre Wing. Mr. Getter has produced for Broadway, film, and television. In 2019 GETTER Entertainment is represented on Broadway as co-Producer of Hadestown, the new musical love story of Orpheus and Eurydice reimagined by Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin.
He joined the Kurt Weill Foundation in 1989 and is Executive Vice Chair of the Board.
