Elmar Juchem Managing Editor, Kurt Weill Edition and Associate Director for Publications and Research

Elmar Juchem joined the Foundation in 1998 and was appointed Managing Editor of the Kurt Weill Edition in 2006. He has published extensively on Weill and music theater in general. He also curated exhibitions about Weill and edited the Kurt Weill Newsletter for ten years. Having studied at the universities of Göttingen, Chapel Hill, and Pisa, Juchem earned a PhD in musicology from Göttingen with a summa cum laude thesis on Weill’s collaboration with Maxwell Anderson.
