There’s a misconception that everything Kurt Weill wrote has gone into the public domain this year, due to the fact that he died seventy years ago, in 1950. While some of Weill’s works have entered the public domain in certain territories, a great majority of his works will remain protected for some time and require an appropriate license to perform, arrange, or otherwise exploit. Having conducted exhaustive research, KWF staff are available to field questions and offer advice about licensing for all of Weill’s compositions.
