Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny, first staged by La Fura dels Baus in September 2010, has already been released on video and visited Moscow. Now it will have three performances in Athens with some members of the original cast, although the opera will be sung in German, not in English as in Madrid. This production has set a new standard for stagings of the opera. The photos seen here come from the Madrid production.
